Trumbull resident Brennan Tyler Mossa, 30, surrendered himself into police custody at the New Canaan Police Department on Tuesday night following an investigation into a Nov. 15 crash last year while he was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.

Police investigators said that the arrest warrant for Mossa stemmed from an investigation into the crash on Smith Ridge Road, when Mossa allegedly was driving northbound when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed into the southbound lane and struck another driver.

After surrendering to police, Mossa was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. He was also cited for reckless driving and failure to drive in the left lane.

Following arraignment, Mossa was released on $5,000 bail. He is due back in New Canaan Justice Court next month to answer the charges.
